DCS High School Robotics Wins Tournament

The DCS robotics teams kicked off the VEX robotics season with a stunning win at Saturday's ITECH robotics tournament in Lafayette, LA.  Garrett Gray, Zachary Reddick, and Christiaan Smith of DCS team 8892N wowed the crowd as they reigned undefeated for all 13 qualifying matches, as well as the semi-final and final matches.  For their outstanding performance, 8892N brought home the Excellence award for overall best robot and the Tournament Champion award.   Wyatt Wiggins and Ethan Morris of DCS team 8892A also made a strong showing, fighting their way through the qualifiers and semifinals to the final round of the tournament, only to be defeated by their sister team 8892N.  In addition to the tournament victories, Tyler Lott and Kyle Peters of DCS team 8892B took home the Design award for best engineering practices.   DCS will be hosting the next high school robotics tournament in Amber Hall on December 15th.  Matches will begin at 9:30 AM and admission is free to the public.
