Many parents ask, “When is my child sick enough to stay home from school?”
This is the time of year when illnesses seem to increase. While COVID-19 is still a concern, there are many other illnesses that are easily passed from student to student.
We are asking that each of you closely monitor your child's health and do not send them to school if they exhibit any of the symptoms on the attached flyer.
It is important to note that if your child has been throwing up, you must wait 24 hours from the time they were last sick to send them to school. If you child has been running a fever, they must be fever free without medication for 24 hours before they return to school.
Please do not give your sick child medication and send them to school. The medication will just mask the symptoms for a few hours and your child may be spreading the infection to others.
