Do you want to be a gator

Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year has begun.  Click on the 2025-2026 Open Erollment Form to apply. Please note that this does not guarantee acceptance.

The application window will be open from April 1 through April 30.

Applications received after the application window has closed are not eligible for the lottery drawing

will be placed on the post lottery waiting list.   The lottery will be held on the Delhi Charter School Facebook page at 5:00 PM on May 6, 2025.

Please submit only 1 application per child. You may call the school at 318-878-0433, ext 1105 for additional information. Please leave a message if no one is available

Any student that does not currently attend DCS and wishes to be considered must submit a new application each year.  This includes legacies (brothers/sisters of current DCS students that live in the same household) as all previous applications have been purged.

It is preferable that applications are submitted online.  If this is not possible, applications may be picked up from the school, either in the front office or in the document box outside the double doors of the main office. Paper applications may be returned in person to the front office, or scanned and emailed to Brett.Raley@delhicharterschool.org, or by mailing them directly to Brett Raley, Headmaster  Delhi Charter School   6940 Hwy 17  Delhi, LA

Admission order is as follows:  Children of faculty and staff are given first priority for admission.  Students on the lottery waiting list are admitted in the order drawn, except for legacy students that register during Open Enrollment receive priority over non-legacies on the waiting list. (Legacy students are given priority in an attempt to keep students of the same family in the same school.)  All students on the lottery waiting list must be offered admission before any student on the post-lottery list, even post-lottery legacies, are offered a seat.

When all lottery list applicants have been offered a seat in the school, subsequent admissions will come for the post-lottery list.  Again, legacy students on the post-lottery list are given priority over non-legacy students on the post-lottery list, even those that are ahead of them  in an effort to keep families together.  Post-lottery admission rank is based on date/time application was received.

The number of openings will be determined by the Headmaster and Board of Directors and students will be selected based on their number on the waiting list. Letters will be sent to students that have been accepted after the current school year has ended. Those not accepted will not receive a letter but will remain on the waiting list. Parents are asked to continually update contact information, including address and phone number, to ensure that the school can contact them should the need arise. The letter will explain the enrollment process. New applications are taken through December 31st of each year and all applications are purged on March 31st of each year.
