Ms. Sebren's Agriscience I classes are wrapping up the school year with an Animal Science Unit. They started off this unit learning about the different breeds of swine, as well as how to properly ear notch them! Ear notching is a form of identification for swine, and to practice, students ear notched their own set of ears for their classmates to read, as well as a piece of bologna!

The DCS Robotics Club recently won a spot to compete at the World Robotics Championship in May. To help cover the costs of the trip, as well as raise money for next season's expenses, we are partnering with the Richland Sheriff's Department to hold a fish plate fundraiser on Monday, April 21st. Plates are $10, and include fried fish, French fries, hush puppies, and dessert. Tickets can be purchased from your favorite robotics member. The plates can be picked up from 11 to 2 in the parking lot beside Delhi City Hall. We'll also deliver local orders of 10 plates or more, so if you're a local business owner this is an excellent opportunity to treat your employees to lunch while supporting a good cause!

Thank you to Maxwell's Hardware for sponsoring the DCS Junior BETA club for their trip to nationals this summer! Maxwell's was our go-to spot for all of our paint and supplies needed for our candidate skit and living lit set. We were always greeted with the friendliest, hometown smiles every time we walked through the door. Thank you Maxwell's for supporting part of our town's future leaders.

The middle schoolers have been working hard to prepare for their upcoming LEAP tests. They completed a LEAP obstacle course today where they answered LEAP-based practice questions and when they had each set correct they had to do a challenge in the obstacle course! Everyone is a winner for working so hard! Enjoy spring break and let's show the state what these GATORS are made of on those state tests!
